What it is

Drop Top Sheets

Live spreadsheets, dashboards and scheduled reports on BigCommerce data.

Drop Top Sheets for BigCommerce, a single-click app.

Drop Top Sheets for BigCommerce turns your store into live spreadsheets, pivot tables, charts and dashboards. Orders, order lines, refunds, products, variants, categories, brands, customers, customer groups, buyers and coupons become tables that spreadsheet formulas read directly, so your numbers stay up to date without exporting a CSV. It opens inside your BigCommerce control panel, under Apps → Drop Top Sheets, in the control panel's own look.

  • Net sales after refunds, orders, average order, items sold, refunds, shipping, buyers and orders to fulfil, per month, status, product and country, in a ready-made "BigCommerce overview" spreadsheet.
  • Formulas such as =data.orders.sum(net_total, counts_as_sale, TRUE) and =data.order_lines.sum(quantity, product, "Ceramic mug") work next to any spreadsheet function.
  • Several stores: link the stores you run and report on them together, with an "Orders, all stores" table that has a Store column.
  • Pivot tables, charts and dashboards with filters and click-to-filter; exports to .xlsx and PDF; share links.
  • Scheduled e-mail reports and alerts sent from your own mailbox.
  • Work with AI: connect Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant that supports MCP to your store's spreadsheets.

Drop Top Sheets reads your store with read-only access. It never changes orders, products or customers.

FAQ

Questions

Does Sheets change my store?

No. Sheets asks BigCommerce for read-only permissions only, and reads orders, products, customers and coupons with them.

Which store data can a sheet use?

11 tables: orders, order lines, refunds, products, product variants, categories, brands, customers, buyers (from orders), customer groups, and coupons.

How are net sales counted?

Orders awaiting fulfillment, shipment or pickup, shipped, completed and (partially) refunded count as sales, and Net total takes refunds off each order.

Can I report on several stores together?

Yes. Install the app in each store and link them in Sheets: "Orders, all stores" gives one table with a Store column. People only see a store they use Sheets in.

Can an AI assistant build my reports?

Yes. Connect Claude or another MCP client to your store's Sheets: it can read your sheets and store data, write formulas and build dashboards. It can never change your store.
