Reports on Asana data
Each report is one formula on live data. Type it in a cell; when a formula refers to A2, list the values in column A first (for example with =list.<table>(<column>)) and fill the formula down.
=data.tasks.count(id, status, "Overdue") Overdue tasks. Open tasks whose due date has passed, over the whole workspace (subtasks included).
=data.tasks.count(id, due, "This week") Due this week. Open tasks due between today and Sunday.
=data.tasks_by_project.count(id, project, A2, completed, FALSE) Open tasks per project. List the projects with =list.tasks_by_project(project) in column A and count the open tasks beside each one. A task in two projects counts in both.
=data.tasks_by_project.count(id, project, A2, completed, TRUE) / data.tasks_by_project.count(id, project, A2) Done share per project. Completed tasks as a share of all tasks in the project in A2.
=data.tasks.count(id, assignee, A2, completed, FALSE) Workload per person. Open tasks per assignee in column A (=list.tasks(assignee) spills the names).
=data.tasks.count(id, assignee, A2, status, "Overdue") Overdue per person. Overdue tasks per assignee, to see who needs help.
=data.tasks.count(id, completed_month, A2) Completed per month. Tasks completed per month: put months such as 2026-09 in column A.
=data.tasks.count(id, project_team, A2, completed, FALSE) Work per team. Open tasks per team, from each task's project team.
=data.time_entries.sum(hours, project, A2) Hours logged per project. Time entries summed per project (time tracking, paid plans).
=data.goals.avg(progress) Goal progress. Average progress of the goals from their starting value to their target (goals, paid plans).
Build it on your own data
Tasks, projects, people, portfolios, goals and time entries become tables that formulas, pivot tables and charts read directly. Open and overdue work, workload per person and completion trends stay current without exporting.
